The story itself: what a place is, when it went up, what happened there, and who cared at the time.

If these walls could talk, BeeMyGuide is there to share it. You pass the same corner every day, never realizing it has history. BeeMyGuide gives the walls, the city, the sidewalk, and the world around you a voice, keeping the history around you alive through the stories it narrates.
We gather the history of a place from many sources and curate it: the parts that are interesting, the parts that are unique to that spot. Then we give you a view into something you would never have seen.
The story itself: what a place is, when it went up, what happened there, and who cared at the time.
The facts that keep it straight: dates, exact locations, and what proves two entries are the same building.
Where things really are: the shape of a building, the path through a park, the everyday landmarks no encyclopedia bothers with.
Parks, monuments and historic sites, described by the people who look after them.
Photographs, credited to whoever took them.
Museums, archives, parks and cities, in the works now. New stories, new things to say, better ways to say them.
If you know a story about a place that isn't written down, contribute via the app. New to us and yours to share is all it takes. Published stories carry your name and play for everyone who passes.
Contributors will get paid the way partners do. The terms are being worked out now, and the people who contribute early help set them.
Cities and tourism boards, museums, historical societies, park services, transit agencies, universities, archives, tour operators with material sitting in a drawer: I'd like to talk.
A catalogue of sites, a set of scripts, an archive of photographs, a walking tour that only exists as a PDF. If it's yours to share and it's worth someone's two minutes, I can put it in front of people standing right outside it.
